Job Description
IOM seeks a Finance Officer to support budgetary and financial functions for its Kinshasa Country Office. Reporting to resources-management leadership, the role monitors expenditure, budget controls and internal controls; maintains accurate ERP accounting records; prepares budgets and financial reports; manages the Finance Unit; and supports cash forecasting, audits and capacity building.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor financial management, expenditure and accountability for country-office activities
- Conduct preliminary financial analysis and follow up on budget controls and internal controls
- Ensure accounting data and supporting documentation are accurately maintained in the ERP system
- Prepare annual and programme budgets and coordinate programme financial reports
- Supervise Finance Unit staff and support administrative-management functions
- Forecast cash flows, control disbursed funds and facilitate project financial audits
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a university degree with four years
- Experience in accounting, financial management and reporting
- Experience with internal-control assessment or internal or external audit
- Fluency in English, spoken and written
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and strong computer literacy
Desired Criteria
- CA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA professional certification
- Experience working with international institutions
- Experience in the region or in emergency operations
