Job Description
Collects ethical field data for IOM’s earthquake assessment in Gaziantep, helping the Displacement Tracking Matrix inform programme decisions. The National UN Volunteer surveys host and migrant communities, safeguards confidentiality and informed consent, uses digital collection platforms accurately, and records daily progress, challenges and field observations for IOM coordination.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Conduct host- and migrant-community interviews in accordance with established study methodologies
- Apply confidentiality, informed-consent and data-protection principles during data gathering
- Maintain regular contact with IOM and report daily progress, issues and incomplete interviews
- Interview participants respectfully and with sensitivity to different backgrounds
- Use project-designated mobile data-collection platforms in line with guidelines
- Provide the IOM team with daily updates on field progress and key observations
Role Requirements
- Turkish and Arabic language ability
- Accurate use of designated mobile data-collection tools and platforms
- Respectful and culturally appropriate interviewing
Desired Criteria
- Experience in field data collection, surveys or assessments
- Experience working with migrants, refugees or displaced populations
- Experience using KoboToolbox, ODK or other digital data-collection tools
- Fluency in English
