Job Description
The Emergency Information Management Specialist supports WHO Viet Nam's emergency preparedness and response by managing, analysing, visualising and sharing operational information. The role maintains emergency data, dashboards and GIS products, prepares situation reports, supports coordination and rapid assessments, and trains partners on information-management practices as part of the UNV Humanitarian Emergency Response roster.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect, compile and validate humanitarian and emergency data
- Maintain emergency databases, situation reports, contact lists and dashboards
- Analyse operational, epidemiological, demographic and geographic information
- Prepare situation reports, briefings, infographics and decision products
- Develop dashboards, maps, charts and other visual products
- Support GIS mapping and spatial analysis during emergency operations
- Facilitate information exchange and common standards with partners
- Support data readiness, rapid assessments and emergency-response monitoring
- Train staff and partners on data-collection and reporting systems
Role Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in information management, public health, humanitarian assistance or emergency preparedness and response
- Experience collecting, managing, analysing and reporting data
- Experience developing dashboards, situation reports, data visualisations and information products
- Fluent English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in health emergency operations, outbreak or disaster response
- Experience with government, UN, NGO or humanitarian partners
- Field experience in emergency or disaster-affected settings
- Knowledge of Incident Management Systems or Emergency Operations Centres
- Advanced training in emergency management, humanitarian response, epidemiology, GIS or data analytics
- Knowledge of local or additional UN languages
