Technical Officer – Collaborative Registration Procedure

WHO seeks a Technical Officer volunteer in Kigali to help African national regulatory authorities implement reliance and Collaborative Registration Procedures, track product applications and metrics, update regulatory systems, expand country participation, coordinate joint assessments and build marketing-authorization capacity.

• Support national regulatory authorities implementing reliance mechanisms and WHO Collaborative Registration Procedures
• Answer technical product-evaluation and manufacturing-practice questions with WHO headquarters
• Track regional applications, timelines, metrics and challenges and maintain the electronic prequalification system
• Develop and update policies, regulations, guidelines and tools for facilitated product introduction
• Conduct country outreach, advocacy workshops, joint assessments and regulatory capacity building
• Coordinate technical experts and support marketing-authorization functions aligned with international standards

• At least seven years of professional medical-product regulatory experience in a national authority, manufacturer or relevant institution
• At least five years of marketing-authorization regulatory experience
• Familiarity with WHO Collaborative Registration Procedures and other facilitated regulatory pathways
• Experience organizing regulatory meetings, workshops, training or capacity-building activities
• English proficiency
