Supports UNICEF’s education response in Galmudug, Somalia, as a National UN Volunteer. The officer will coordinate implementation of the Joint Resilience Programme, work with government, schools and communities, monitor programme delivery and data, and strengthen inclusive, gender-responsive education services for crisis-affected children, including girls and children with disabilities.

• Support planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting for Joint Resilience Programme education activities
• Coordinate with government counterparts, implementing partners and education stakeholders
• Prepare workplans, technical briefs, monitoring reports and donor-reporting inputs
• Monitor partner deliverables, resource use and implementation risks
• Support inclusive and gender-responsive education programming for crisis-affected children
• Mobilize communities to improve enrolment, attendance, retention and safe return to learning

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in education programming, community mobilization, community engagement or community-based programme implementation
• Demonstrated experience working with government counterparts, schools, Community Education Committees, parents, local leaders and other community structures
• Proficiency in standard office applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be a Somali national or legal resident of Somalia
• English and Somali are required
