Job Description

Supports the World Economic Forum’s Greater China government engagement from Beijing. The participant maps public-sector stakeholders, researches policy priorities, translates Chinese and English documents, coordinates officials’ participation and visit logistics, drafts briefings and correspondence, and supports Forum events.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Map Chinese government stakeholders and policy priorities
  • Support officials’ participation in the Annual Meeting 2027
  • Translate documents between English and Chinese
  • Coordinate liaison and follow-up with external stakeholders
  • Arrange travel, accommodation and on-site logistics for officials
  • Prepare background documents, briefings and official correspondence
  • Research central and local government policy frameworks
  • Support Greater China projects, initiatives and events

Role Requirements

  • Foundational knowledge of Chinese government operating mechanisms
  • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Full-time graduate student status or up to three years of relevant work experience

Desired Criteria

  • Overseas study or international-organization experience is strongly preferred
  • Background in public policy, international relations, languages or a relevant discipline
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
