Job Description
The World Bank seeks a national Energy Analyst in Jakarta to support Indonesia’s energy programme and ASEAN engagements. The Extended Term Consultant will prepare lending operations, supervise active projects, conduct sector research and analysis, coordinate with clients and project teams, and support knowledge products, stakeholder consultations and energy-transition initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Prepare lending operations and technical-assistance activities
- Support supervision of IBRD-financed and co-financed projects
- Track implementation progress and internal review processes
- Coordinate day-to-day follow-up with client counterparts
- Prepare analytical products, reports and knowledge materials
- Research energy policy, utility performance and transition issues
- Support stakeholder consultations, workshops and knowledge sharing
Role Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance or a related discipline
- At least two years of relevant energy-sector, research, consulting, internship or project experience
- Indonesian nationality and residence in Jakarta
- Professional proficiency in English
Desired Criteria
- Familiarity with World Bank policies and procedures and the Indonesian energy-sector context
- Engagement with MEMR, Ministry of Finance, PLN or Pertamina
- Understanding of electricity, renewable energy or geothermal development
- Exposure to financial, economic, engineering or policy analysis
