Driver

Provides safe, reliable transport for authorised personnel and cargo while maintaining roadworthy vehicles, records and required documentation for the REDE agricultural-diversification project. The role also assists airport reception, accident response, office procurement, inventory management, facility maintenance and service-provider coordination in support of project operations.

• Transport authorised personnel, cargo and hazardous goods safely and on time
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and other required items
• Meet arriving personnel and facilitate immigration and customs formalities
• Maintain vehicle logs, maintenance plans and usage reports
• Perform routine vehicle checks and coordinate repairs
• Keep vehicles roadworthy and safeguard registration, insurance, maps and safety supplies
• Support office procurement, inventory control and facility maintenance requests

• Secondary school with 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in any discipline with no relevant experience
• Driver training and a valid driver's licence
• Experience in safe and defensive driving and minor vehicle repair
• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations
• Fluent French

• Experience working in multicultural environments or UN system organisations in a developing country
