Driver

Provides safe, reliable transport for authorized personnel and, when needed, cargo or hazardous goods while supporting UNOPS Sudan's day-to-day operations. The role keeps vehicles roadworthy, records use and maintenance, assists arrivals at the airport, responds to accidents under organizational procedures, and contributes to office procurement, inventory and facility-maintenance support.

• Transport authorized personnel and, where applicable, cargo or hazardous goods safely and on time
• Collect and deliver mail, documents and other required items
• Meet assigned personnel at the airport and facilitate immigration and customs formalities
• Maintain daily vehicle logs and contribute to maintenance plans and usage reports
• Perform routine vehicle checks, minor repairs and coordination of major repairs
• Maintain vehicle documents, supplies, cleanliness and roadworthiness
• Assist procurement, office inventory and facility-maintenance activities

• Secondary school or equivalent with two years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline with no relevant experience
• Driver's training with a valid driver's licence
• Relevant experience in safe driving, defensive driving and minor vehicle repair
• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations
• Fluent English
• Fluent Arabic
