Job Description

Provides technical guidance on HIV prevention products and innovation to improve Global Fund investments and programme performance. The advisor leads work on PrEP and PEP access, product choice and scale-up, interprets programme and epidemiological evidence, supports grant processes and partnerships, and helps shape financing, procurement and market interventions across the HIV portfolio.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide technical advice on HIV prevention investments informed by country experience, normative guidance and programme-performance data
  • Provide HIV expertise throughout grant cycles and identify opportunities to optimise and reprogramme investments
  • Coordinate technical teams so HIV prevention investments strengthen health systems, human rights and community engagement
  • Advise on procurement, supply planning and innovation for existing and emerging HIV health products
  • Co-lead work on PrEP and PEP access, product choice and biomedical interventions
  • Lead PrEP and PEP data analysis for product optimisation, introduction and scale-up
  • Support partnerships, capacity building and resource mobilisation for HIV prevention products

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in public health, epidemiology, infectious diseases or international development
  • Strong analytical skills and deep knowledge of statistical software
  • Experience providing technical advice and collaborating effectively across teams, departments and divisions
  • Experience in data analysis and data-driven decision making
  • Excellent verbal and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with UNAIDS tools for sub-national HIV estimates in priority populations
  • Experience developing investment cases and grant priorities for HIV PrEP and PEP programmes
  • Experience with market shaping, demand forecasting and access readiness for PrEP and PEP
  • Experience in pharmaceutical product life-cycle management
  • Knowledge of novel biomedical product development and regulatory processes
  • Four to six years of biomedical health-programme experience in low-resource settings
  • Good working knowledge of French
