Job Description

Provides analytical support for Global Fund sourcing of diagnostics and health technologies. The associate specialist implements category strategies, tenders, contracts and supplier allocations, monitors performance and savings, manages category data and sourcing systems, and advances market-shaping initiatives that improve the availability and affordability of quality-assured health products.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of health-technology category strategies and global tenders
  • Implement tender outcomes, contracts, supplier allocations and performance monitoring
  • Support delivery and monitoring of category savings targets
  • Manage category data, analyse risks, develop visualisations and provide sourcing insights
  • Maintain category reporting and the supplier-allocation algorithm for allocation decisions
  • Improve databases and systems including the Product Data Hub and category-management tools
  • Support direct sourcing, supply and demand interventions, and NextGen Market Shaping initiatives
  • Coordinate sourcing activities for health-technology categories managed by Procurement Services Agents

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in health, science or business
  • Working experience in procurement and supply-chain management in the public and/or private sector
  • Data-analytics experience in health-product sourcing, tendering, supplier-performance management or reporting
  • Experience with database and digital contracting systems
  • Excellent written and verbal English

Desired Criteria

  • Business administration or financial qualification
  • Additional degree in public health, sustainability or MBA
  • Professional certification in project management, supply chain, procurement, contract management or negotiation
  • Good working knowledge of French
