Job Description

Supports WFP Iran’s disaster risk reduction, climate resilience and emergency-preparedness programme. The assistant coordinates implementation, stakeholder engagement, assessments and reporting; maintains information products and performance data; develops contingency plans and training; and helps government, UN and partner organisations strengthen preparedness, risk management and resilience fo.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support disaster risk reduction and climate-resilience programme implementation
  • Track workplans and identify implementation issues
  • Coordinate with government, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders
  • Conduct risk, vulnerability and preparedness assessments
  • Prepare reports, briefing notes, contingency plans and standard operating procedures
  • Deliver training and document lessons learned

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in disaster risk reduction, climate change, resilience, emergency preparedness or humanitarian assistance
