Job Description

Supports UNODC’s Pacific Office research on how corruption affects persons with disabilities, working with the Pacific Disability Forum, governments and civil society. The volunteer contributes to research design, field data collection, analysis and reporting, helping generate ethical evidence and practical findings on disability rights, governance and anti-corruption in Pacific pilot countries.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct desk reviews and develop research tools
  • Support survey design, deployment and refinement of interview and focus-group guides
  • Coordinate online surveys and data collection with the Pacific Disability Forum
  • Help conduct key-informant interviews and focus-group discussions
  • Ensure informed-consent procedures and ethical standards are followed
  • Organise qualitative data and prepare summaries, tables and visualisations
  • Draft inception, progress and final report sections and dissemination materials

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in gender studies, social sciences, political science, development studies, law, international relations or a related field
  • At least two years of professional experience in gender equality, disability and social inclusion
  • Experience in qualitative or mixed-methods research using Kobo Toolbox for data collection, management and visualisation, data analysis and report writing
  • English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with NGOs, civil society organisations, research institutions or development agencies
