Job Description

The Deputy Representative Programme leads UNICEF Türkiye’s country-programme management under the Representative’s direction. The role coordinates programme formulation through delivery, provides policy and strategy advice, oversees quality and accountability, builds public and private partnerships, and ensures timely, principled humanitarian programming for vulnerable children and communities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Advise the Country Office Representative on overall management and on country-office policies and strategies
  • Coordinate management of all country-programme phases from formulation through delivery in line with UNICEF strategic plans and accountability standards
  • Oversee programme planning, monitoring and quality control to achieve concrete and sustainable results
  • Lead representation, alliance building and United Nations system coordination
  • Support the Representative to leverage public- and private-sector partnerships for children’s rights
  • Ensure timely, efficient and principled humanitarian programme delivery in fragile and humanitarian settings
  • Strengthen innovation, knowledge management and capacity building while safeguarding personnel, programmes and organizational assets

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, international relations, government and public relations, public or social policy, sociology, social or community development or another relevant technical field
  • At least ten years of professional development experience combining technical and managerial leadership in international development cooperation, including service in developing countries
  • Fluency in English
