Deputy Representative

Lead formulation and delivery of UNFPA's Haiti country programme, integrating population, sexual and reproductive health, gender equality and youth priorities into national development and humanitarian action. The Deputy Representative guides programme quality, partnerships, advocacy, resources and country-team management.

• Lead formulation, delivery and oversight of the UNFPA country programme
• Integrate population, sexual and reproductive health and gender priorities into national development
• Strengthen national capacity and maintain ownership of programme results
• Build strategic partnerships and lead advocacy with national and international counterparts
• Manage programme resources and support country-team performance
• Serve as officer-in-charge when the Representative is absent
• Guide programme staff through knowledge sharing and creative programme development

• Postgraduate degree in public health, medicine, sociology, demography, gender, international relations, development, economics, public administration, management or a related field
• Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in public administration and international development
• International experience in population and development, sexual and reproductive health or humanitarian programming
• Experience in advocacy and policy dialogue at national and international levels
• Proven ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality results
• Field experience
• Experience leading complex development and humanitarian programmes
• Fluency in French and English

• Serves as officer-in-charge when the Representative is absent
• Role is based at an E hardship duty station
