Director, Corporate Management Division

The director leads UN-Habitat corporate management, integrating strategy, budgets, human resources, operational support, risk, oversight and performance across headquarters and field offices, advising executive leadership, managing diverse teams and representing the organisation before UN bodies.

Department: Corporate Management Division

• Lead the Corporate Management Division work programme and strategy
• Coordinate administrative, operational and programme-support services
• Oversee organisational budgets, financial planning and performance reporting
• Direct human-resources planning, policy implementation and staff development
• Manage corporate risk, internal controls and oversight recommendations
• Support regional and country offices and supervise third-party services
• Represent UN-Habitat before governing, budgetary and UN system bodies
• Drive business transformation, accountability and data-informed decisions

• Advanced university degree in a relevant field or a first degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• At least fifteen years of progressively responsible management experience
• At least seven years leading substantive work units and diverse teams
• At least five years of risk-management and internal-control experience
• At least five years of human-resources management in a large international organisation
• Experience preparing and defending budgetary and financial reports before governing bodies
• English proficiency at UN Level II in reading, writing, listening and speaking

• Initial appointment is for one year and may be extended
