Job Description
Provides senior leadership for UNFPA’s Uganda country programme, partnering with government, the UN system, civil society and development actors to advance the ICPD agenda. The Deputy Representative manages daily country-office operations, guides programme quality and national capacity development, and promotes sexual and reproductive health, rights and evidence-based policy.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and monitor the Country Programme
- Expand UNFPA’s programme portfolio and strategic options
- Oversee programme monitoring, evaluation and corporate reporting
- Develop national capacity to implement ICPD commitments
- Build collaborative relationships with government partners
- Represent UNFPA within UN coordination and humanitarian response processes
- Supervise Country Office staff and daily operations
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in a relevant field
- Extensive experience in programme leadership and country-office management
- Fluency in English
