Job Description

Provide executive leadership for ITC programme delivery by aligning human and financial resources, advising the Executive Director on strategy and policy, directing multidisciplinary divisions, strengthening public- and private-sector partnerships, driving organisational change and representing ITC with senior stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage operationalisation of ITC programmes and align human and financial resources to delivery needs
  • Contribute to ITC strategies, policies and overall management as adviser to the Executive Director
  • Lead Division Directors and oversee administrative and technical divisions
  • Oversee external audit activities and foster relationships with partner bodies and international partners
  • Coordinate reports for intergovernmental bodies and report on budget, programme and substantive issues
  • Oversee recruitment for the Office of the Executive Director
  • Manage, guide and develop supervised staff and foster cross-organisational teamwork
  • Represent ITC at international, regional and inter-agency meetings, seminars and conferences

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in economics, business administration, international relations, law or a related area, or first-level university degree with qualifying experience
  • At least 15 years of experience in trade development in developing or transition countries, or 17 years with a first-level degree
  • Extensive experience leading multi-country or complex aid for trade programmes
  • Experience working with MSMEs
  • Experience leading diverse multidisciplinary teams and driving organisational change
  • Experience in high-level representation and influencing high-level stakeholders and SME competitiveness ecosystems
  • Experience in advocacy, fundraising and establishing public and private sector partnerships
  • English is required

Desired Criteria

  • Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish is desirable
