Job Description
Coordinates INTERPOL’s Chemical and Explosives Terrorism Prevention Unit in Lyon. The role manages daily operations and a multidisciplinary team, leads CMX planning and programme execution, provides subject-matter expertise on chemical and explosive threats, ensures quality of analytical products and training, and maintains coordination with member countries, partners and other INTERPOL units.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of the CMX Unit operational and strategic plans
- Lead, supervise and monitor a multidisciplinary team
- Serve as lead subject-matter expert on chemical and explosive threats
- Act as primary point of contact for INTERPOL Member Countries and external partners
Role Requirements
- Three to four years' education at a university or specialized higher education establishment in a relevant field
- Experienced police officer, able to demonstrate professional experience and training in law enforcement
- Minimum of 5 years of CBRNE law enforcement experience preferably including specialized training in the Chemical and Explosive field
- Professional proficiency in both written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Specialized training in law enforcement operations or related disciplines is highly desirable
- International work experience is considered a significant asset
- Proficiency in Arabic, French or Spanish would be an additional asset
