Job Description
WFP seeks a field monitoring coordinator in San Juan de la Maguana to oversee food-assistance monitoring and reporting. The coordinator verifies distributions, analyses programme data, engages cooperating partners and community leaders, strengthens field-monitoring processes, trains partners, leads technical personnel, tracks project results, and supports emergency food-assistance procedures.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Verify planned movements and distributions of food and non-food items against WFP standards
- Collect and compile assistance-programme data, analyse it and prepare reports for programme review and decision-making
- Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback for programme review and service improvement
- Recommend improvements to field-monitoring processes and procedures
- Organise meetings with community leaders and cooperating partners on supply chains, distribution arrangements and food entitlements
- Assign tasks and provide on-the-job guidance and training to support staff
- Train cooperating partners on WFP operational practices and monitoring tools and methods
- Prepare field-mission reports documenting programme implementation
- Follow established emergency food-assistance response processes
- Lead technical personnel and monitor project activities, results and use of financial and material resources
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education
- Fluency in Spanish at C level
Desired Criteria
- Experience collecting programme-product and outcome data, conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis and communicating findings
- Experience using WFP monitoring and evaluation systems and standards
- Working knowledge of English for reading WFP materials and policies
