The Contracts Officer manages procurement and contracting for health technology products in UNICEF Supply Division. The role leads sourcing, tender evaluation, supplier and market analysis, long-term arrangements and purchase-order coordination, while ensuring compliant, timely supply of essential health commodities to country programmes and procurement-services partners.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Ensure procurement activities comply with UNICEF rules and procedures
  • Solicit, evaluate and negotiate bids, proposals and quotations
  • Prepare procurement data and documents for long-term arrangements and purchase orders
  • Coordinate purchase orders and timely consignment delivery
  • Advise country and regional offices on contractual and procurement issues
  • Monitor supplier performance, market trends and supply forecasts
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality assurance and finance teams

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least two years of relevant contracting, tendering and market-research experience
  • Fluent English
  • Strategic sourcing, market analysis, vendor negotiation and operational-contracting skills
  • Strong computer applications and advanced Excel skills
