Job Description

This consultancy supports IOM's early-recovery response for populations affected by the earthquake in Colombia. It focuses on livelihood diagnostics, employability and income-generation opportunities, and coordination with public, private, academic and cooperation actors. The work helps shape and monitor practical recovery actions that strengthen affected households' economic resilience.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Conduct territorial and livelihoods diagnostics using relevant secondary sources
  • Map public, private, academic and cooperation actors to identify recovery partnerships
  • Identify economic sectors and income-generation modalities for affected populations
  • Collect and systematize information on economic impacts, livelihoods and institutional services
  • Support implementation and monitoring of early-recovery strategies and beneficiary tracking
  • Prepare technical reports, databases and project inputs for follow-up and reporting
  • Coordinate territorial follow-up with employers, employment centres and local authorities

Role Requirements

  • More than five years of experience in early recovery, livelihoods, entrepreneurship, employability or project implementation
  • Spanish proficiency

Desired Criteria

  • Experience managing partnerships and projects with the private sector
  • Experience in early recovery for emergencies, disasters or humanitarian assistance
  • Experience with income-generation programmes for vulnerable populations
  • Knowledge of economic and social development focused on income generation
  • Specialization or master's degree in business, project management, entrepreneurship, marketing, innovation or sustainable development
