Consultancy on Economic Diversification and Resilience in the Arab Region

Conducts a remote ESCWA consultancy on economic diversification and resilience in the Arab region. The consultant will develop the conceptual framework and empirical methodology for an analytical paper, assess constraints and policy implications through quantitative analysis and case studies, and submit an annotated outline, full draft and final paper with complete methodological documentation.

• Develop an annotated outline with the conceptual framework and empirical methodology
• Prepare a full paper with conceptual analysis, empirical results and case studies
• Assess constraints, policy implications and preliminary recommendations
• Refine results following review comments
• Prepare complete data and methodological documentation

• Advanced research experience on regional development issues
• Publications on macroeconomic policy and economic diversification in peer-reviewed journals or international reports
• Fluency in English

• Undertaking high-level initiatives for international organisations is desirable
• Quantitative analysis and interpretation experience is desirable
