Job Description

Leads compliance and risk-management support for the occupied Palestinian territory Humanitarian Fund, monitoring developments that affect funded projects and strengthening prevention and control mechanisms. The role coordinates partner assessments, project monitoring and training, advises the fund manager on policy, and maintains reporting aligned with global pooled-fund guidance.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Monitor humanitarian developments that may affect the oPt Humanitarian Fund
  • Prepare analysis and follow-up on audits and evaluations of fund management
  • Identify compliance risks in funded projects with UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders
  • Provide risk-management training and conduct in-depth reviews
  • Advise the fund manager on compliance and risk-management policy
  • Review partner capacity assessments and update their status in the Grant Management System
  • Maintain project-monitoring timelines, results and recommendations
  • Plan trainings and workshops for implementing partners and stakeholders

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in business administration, public administration, finance, accounting or a related field, with a first-level degree accepted with two years of relevant experience
  • At least two years of progressively responsible experience in finance, project management, accounting, public administration, economics or a related field
  • Experience in finance and the project-management cycle, including performance monitoring
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in compliance and risk management
  • Experience with internal control systems or accounting tools
  • Experience with the UN common system or an equivalent international organization
