Overview
IFRC seeks a Risk Management and Compliance Officer in Kinshasa to strengthen governance and internal controls, monitor donor and operational compliance, track mitigation actions, follow audit recommendations and help the DRC Red Cross protect resources during a complex Ebola response.

Responsibilities
- Integrate risk management into country-cluster programmes and operating procedures
- Assess internal controls and follow agreed corrective actions from audits and reviews
- Track risk indicators and report implementation of mitigation measures
- Monitor donor, programme, financial-reporting and reconciliation compliance
- Conduct financial and programme spot checks and assurance reviews
- Monitor procurement, volunteer-payment and staffing-control compliance
- Prepare quarterly risk and compliance reports and support National Societies in the cluster
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in management science, auditing, accounting, business administration or a related discipline
- Certification in auditing, grant management, risk management or compliance
- At least seven years of professional experience in assurance, audit, risk management or compliance
- At least three years of experience in humanitarian, development, nonprofit, public-sector or international-organisation settings
- Fluent spoken and written English and French
