Job Description

Supports WHO EMRO’s AIDERS Community of Practice during an eight-week push for AI use in emergencies. The online UN Volunteer moderates daily activity, welcomes members, maintains pinned guidance and escalates sensitive issues; compiles weekly membership and engagement metrics, identifies risks and mitigations, and supports technical leads through clear, scheduled community-management outputs.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Check the platform twice per weekday and direct requests to the appropriate focal point
  • Welcome and orient new members within 48 hours
  • Maintain pinned posts, rules, working-group guidance and key links
  • Escalate sensitive issues promptly
  • Prepare Friday updates on membership, activity, top threads, risks and next-week plans

Role Requirements

  • Experience supporting an online community
  • Experience writing short, clear posts and weekly summaries
  • Experience using AI tools for drafting and summarising
  • Experience organising work with trackers or calendars and delivering weekly updates on time

Desired Criteria

  • Experience working with technical leads to draft content, obtain reviews and apply feedback
