Community Engagement Specialist

Supports FAO Ukraine's Mine Action and Land Rehabilitation Programme by integrating community engagement and communications into delivery for farmers in mine-affected areas. The specialist develops accessible outreach materials and behaviour-change sessions, coordinates with programme and communications teams, gathers community feedback and contributes to reporting, data collection and field activity coordination.

• Implement Mine Action internal communications through coordination across programme units
• Translate technical information into plain-language messages, briefs, summaries and guidance for farmers
• Develop community outreach materials including video scripts, brochures and social-media content
• Develop engagement sessions using behaviour-change communication principles
• Support field coordination and community liaison for farming-community surveys
• Coordinate communication-product review and dissemination with FAO Ukraine's Communications Unit
• Document community feedback and prepare inputs for progress and donor reports
• Support beneficiary data collection, verification and programme-indicator tracking

• University degree in communications, journalism, development studies, rural development, agriculture, social sciences or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in programme communications, community engagement, behaviour-change communication or development or humanitarian project implementation
• Working knowledge of English and Ukrainian
• Ukrainian nationality

• Field experience in humanitarian, recovery or mine-affected contexts
