Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the Global Humanitarian Action Overview and quality-assure public humanitarian documents
  • Coordinate field stories and pitches that demonstrate humanitarian impact
  • Consolidate humanitarian inputs for the UNFPA Annual Report and publications
  • Establish systems to consolidate emergency information and impact data
  • Integrate Humanitarian Response Division information into social-media outreach
  • Draft emergency summaries updates and materials for donors and other audiences
  • Organize humanitarian roundtables and launches
  • Quality-assure publications templates and print and audiovisual materials
  • Represent UNFPA in communications and advocacy meetings

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in international relations communication media or social sciences
  • Five years of humanitarian communication-response experience with international organizations
  • Excellent English reading writing and analytical skills
  • Humanitarian communications experience

Desired Criteria

  • Photography videography social-media and storytelling experience
  • Public-event planning and management experience
  • UN humanitarian-system communications experience
  • Other UN language
