Job Description
Provides strategic communications support to IOM Burundi’s Ebola preparedness and public-health response. The consultant develops communications plans and materials, documents interventions, coordinates media relations and awareness campaigns, and strengthens donor-compliant visibility. The assignment works with programme teams, UN partners and stakeholders to disseminate timely, accurate and evidence-based public information.

Summary of Responsibilities

- Guide compliance with IOM and donor visibility requirements
- Document interventions through photography and archiving
- Develop human-interest stories and public-information products
- Coordinate press materials and media engagement
- Disseminate information through social and broadcast media
- Produce visibility materials for field activities
- Coordinate communication with programme teams and UN partners
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Fluency in French and English, oral and written
- Open to Burundi nationals only

- Knowledge of Burundi’s context
- Familiarity with migration-related issues
- Familiarity with international organisations
