Job Description
Supports IOM’s Pacific communications and media work by preparing approved stories, social content, briefs and visibility materials that share project outcomes across the sub-region. The assistant compiles programme inputs, helps disseminate branded materials, supports communications coverage for events, and maintains records and responses to routine enquiries in collaboration with country missions and regional teams.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Assist implementation of media and communications activities
- Prepare success stories, human-interest pieces, project briefs, social content and visibility materials
- Draft and format routine messaging and storytelling materials for review
- Prepare and disseminate visibility products across IOM platforms in line with donor branding
- Compile communication inputs and approved content from project teams
- Support media and communications coverage for meetings, workshops and training
- Respond to general media and communications enquiries
- Maintain communications files and records
Role Requirements
- Fiji nationals only
- High school diploma with three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree in communications, media, journalism, development studies, environmental science, international relations or a related field with one year of relevant experience
- Fluency in English, oral and written
Desired Criteria
- Experience providing administrative or communications support
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-governmental or government institutions in a multicultural setting
- Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content-creation tools
- Photography, videography or basic design skills
