Summary of Responsibilities
- Plan and implement communications and outreach products in line with FAO standards
- Draft and edit articles, statements, briefs, opinion pieces, speeches, presentations and reports
- Develop audience-led campaigns, messaging and storytelling across formats and channels
- Organise webinars, panels, side events and exhibitions
- Compile communications metrics and analytics for monitoring and performance reports
- Analyse technical information and data for communication products and project services
- Maintain communications records, databases, web pages and knowledge-sharing resources
Role Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in communication, journalism, sustainable agriculture, food security, international relations, environmental or political science, or a related field
- One year of relevant communications and outreach experience, including internationally
- Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language
- Age 32 or younger on 31 December of the application year

- Experience across more than one location or work area, particularly in field positions
- Experience developing communications and outreach products and plans
- Experience organising and coordinating events
- Experience analysing technical reports and data for accurate communications
- Familiarity with knowledge management and performance reporting
- Experience with sustainable-development issues relevant to FAO's technical work
