Job Description
Drives UNFPA institutional transformation, strategic initiatives and innovation as a central integrator for organisational reform. The Chief coordinates change initiatives, supports executive decision-making and learning, mobilises partnerships and financing, and provides analysis and strategic problem-solving for priorities across headquarters, regional and country operations.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and coordination of institutional transformation priorities and initiatives
- Guide business units in designing and implementing transformation and innovation approaches
- Align transformation initiatives with executive decisions, strategic plans and UN reforms
- Build transformation capacity through learning, technical assistance and knowledge exchange
- Develop partnerships with public and private actors, development banks and donors
- Mobilise expertise and provide rapid analysis and options for executive priorities
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in social science, business administration, international or sustainable development, economics, project management, institutional transformation, organisational change, public policy, public administration or a related field
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in programme management, innovation, partnership development or inter-agency cooperation for D-1 appointment
- Experience leading teams in large complex organisations and providing strategic guidance
- Experience leading institutional transformation, organisational change or complex cross-organisational initiatives
- Proficiency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience in private-sector innovation or innovative solutions
- Experience in regional or country-office field settings
- Knowledge of an additional UN language
