Job Description
Leads supply-chain management for the United Nations Support Office in Haiti, directing acquisition, procurement, warehousing, assets, transport and distribution in support of mission operations. The Chief sets strategy and performance standards, manages personnel and resources, advises senior leadership, and ensures resilient, cost-effective logistics in a complex non-family duty station.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the mission supply-chain workplan, forecasts and priorities
- Coordinate supply-chain strategies and consolidate human and financial resource requirements
- Optimise supply-chain processes and establish performance indicators for senior management
- Lead staff development, performance management and service-delivery improvement
- Allocate budgets, personnel and assets for cost-effective mission support
- Establish policies and controls for procurement, assets, expenditure and supply-chain systems
- Advise the Director on logistical and administrative support requirements
- Coordinate supply-chain support with headquarters, service centres, mission components and national authorities
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in supply chain management, business administration or management, or a related field
- First-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted instead of an advanced degree
- At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in at least three supply-chain functions
- At least five years of supply-chain management experience, including three years managing international operations
- English
Desired Criteria
- Project or programme management certification such as PMP, PgMP or PRINCE2
- Experience managing supply-chain operations in conflict or post-conflict environments
- Experience leading supply-chain change-management initiatives
- Experience negotiating and collaborating with diverse stakeholders and clients
