Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead the Strategic Heritage Plan work programme and allocate resources
  • Direct project activities and coordinate work across UN entities
  • Maintain programme management, financial control and contracting arrangements
  • Prepare reports for intergovernmental bodies on budget and programme performance
  • Manage audit responses and ensure high-quality project outputs
  • Lead project closure planning, handover and lessons learned
  • Manage and develop staff and contractors

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, law, social sciences or a related field
  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible experience in a relevant field
  • At least seven years of programme or project management experience including large-scale international projects
  • Senior responsibility for resource planning, contract management, project management and cost control
  • English and French at UN Level III

Desired Criteria

  • Experience preparing complex reports for intergovernmental bodies
  • Experience in a European contracting and legal environment
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and project management software
