Job Description

Leads UNDP’s Client Service Division in designing integrated management solutions for UN agencies and major clients. The chief directs account management, complex-case coordination and service innovation across BMS, using client feedback, operational analysis and multidisciplinary teams to strengthen responsive, high-quality operations services and strategic business relationships.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Position UNDP’s integrated operational and management advisory offer and broker new business opportunities
  • Lead the Client Business Solutions Team and client account managers serving UNDP bureaux and partner UN agencies
  • Coordinate solutions for complex multidimensional management operations issues as a single point of contact
  • Design and implement new client and service lines that integrate into BMS regular services
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to resolve time-bound client cases and deliver integrated solutions
  • Monitor service delivery, client-request resolution and client satisfaction, then improve the service offer
  • Advise BMS leadership on emerging operations solutions, adaptive business models and organizational transformation

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in business or public administration, information technology, finance or a related discipline; a bachelor’s degree in these fields with two additional years of relevant experience may be considered
  • At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with a master’s degree or 12 years with a bachelor’s degree, including seven years managing programme and operations teams in UNDP or comparable international organizations
  • Experience working across organizational settings such as headquarters and country offices
  • Excellent communications skills with documented experience organizing strategic internal and external communication products
  • Proficiency in English

Desired Criteria

  • UNDP operations-practice or internationally recognized professional certification
  • Experience using a client relationship management system
  • Experience managing strategic partnerships and service agreements with UN entities or international organizations
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives involving HR, finance, procurement and IT
  • Experience using data analytics, performance metrics or client-satisfaction indicators for service improvement
  • Experience with UN common services, Business Operations Strategy or UN reform initiatives
