Job Description

WFP Sri Lanka seeks a Business Support Assistant in Colombo to provide administrative, data-management and coordination support for a United States Global Grant. The role maintains beneficiary and programme records, supports cash transfers and NFI procurement, coordinates partner forums and field monitoring, and ensures accurate and timely delivery across emergency-preparedness activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Maintain programme correspondence, reports and filing systems for Food Assistance for Assets, Anticipatory Action, logistics and HDAC activities
  • Enter beneficiary, cash-transfer and monitoring data and compile programme statistics for reporting
  • Support field-monitoring missions with checklists and data entry from oversight visits
  • Liaise with field staff and implementing partners to facilitate programme operations
  • Support Cash, Logistics and Anticipatory Action working-group coordination forums
  • Track NFI delivery schedules and maintain distribution and procurement documentation
  • Support protection and social-behavioural-change events and handle beneficiary feedback confidentially

Role Requirements

  • Completion of secondary school education
  • Two or more years of experience in administrative or programme-support roles
  • Fluency in oral and written English and Sinhala or Tamil
  • Sri Lankan nationals only

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with cash-transfer programmes or logistics support
  • Knowledge of digital beneficiary-management systems including SCOPE, Kobo or ODK
