Job Description
UNDP Brazil seeks a Programme Assistant to support the Environmentally Sustainable Development Unit's project portfolio. The role coordinates programme operations, documentation, financial and budget processes, partner follow-up and knowledge activities, using Quantum to maintain accurate records and help the Country Office deliver environment and sustainability initiatives.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Compile background information for programme planning and documentation
- Prepare programme documents, work plans, budgets and related materials
- Create and update project and programme data in Quantum
- Follow up with implementing partners and support audit actions
- Maintain programme and financial filing, requisitions and goods-receipt entries
- Process financial records and analyze budget implementation data
- Organize training, learning activities and programme knowledge documentation
Role Requirements
- Secondary education
- At least 4 years of programme, project-support, administration or operations experience with secondary education, or 1 year with a bachelor's degree
- Experience supporting programme or project planning and implementation
- Experience handling requisitions, invoices, expenditure tracking and basic budget monitoring
- Experience in data entry and corporate ERP systems
- Fluency in Portuguese and English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with environment and climate-change projects
- Experience with vertical funds including the Global Environment Facility or Green Climate Fund
- Experience supporting complex multi-stakeholder or multi-component projects
- Previous experience with UNDP or other UN agencies
- Experience reviewing programme and financial data to support decision-making
- Experience supporting procurement, logistics and institutional activities
