Associate Data Specialist

The UN Resident Coordinator Office seeks an Associate Data Specialist in San Salvador to build and maintain data systems, analytics and visualisation products for development cooperation. The role supports monitoring, evaluation and learning tools, SDG dashboards, data pipelines, reporting and capacity building with national partners. It requires data-life-cycle knowledge, English and Spanish

• Implement databases, data-collection systems and analytics strategies
• Clean data and maintain data systems from primary and secondary sources
• Develop monitoring, evaluation and learning products using approved indicators
• Support digital dashboards tracking Sustainable Development Goal indicators
• Develop reports and visualisation outputs for management decision-making
• Build staff and partner capacity through data-analytics training and workshops

• Master's degree in a stated data-related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in research and data analysis, knowledge management or project or programme management in development cooperation
• Knowledge of data structures and statistical methods
• Knowledge of the data life cycle from collection and wrangling through analysis, visualisation, deployment, monitoring and reporting
• Fluency in English and Spanish
• Open to nationals of El Salvador only
