Administration and Finance Specialist

Provides administrative and financial management support to FAO's sustainable food-systems project in the Marshall Islands. The specialist manages operational arrangements, project budgets, reporting and partner agreements; supports financial controls and disbursements; and works with government counterparts and project leaders to keep delivery, monitoring and project outcomes on track.

• Implement project activities through operational and administrative procedures aligned with government and FAO or GEF requirements
• Coordinate operational arrangements and letters of agreement with project partners
• Prepare financial and administrative reports with government agencies
• Manage project budgets, cash availability, budget preparation and revisions
• Prepare expenditure, forecast, work-plan progress and project-closure reports
• Process personnel, procurement and field-disbursement requirements
• Represent the project in meetings with partners and the Project Steering Committee
• Review operational-partner financial reports and support instalment requests

• High-school diploma in Finance, Business Administration or related fields
• 3 years of relevant experience in planning, project implementation and management or administration of development programmes
• Working knowledge of English at level C
