Processes travel-assistance claims for National Societies attending the 2026 IFRC Statutory Meetings and supports Accounts Receivable. The internship coordinates payment requests, maintains claim and travel-assistance records, follows up on payments and monitors expenditure. It contributes accurate financial administration and responsive communication with National Societies and regional offices.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Secretariat focal points and National Societies to calculate and prepare statutory travel-assistance payment requests
- Maintain travel-assistance tables and file claim requests in OneDrive
- Follow up with National Societies on executed payments
- Monitor expenditure under the travel-assistance budget line for statutory meetings
- Support day-to-day accounts receivable accounting activities
- Communicate with National Societies and regional offices on travel-assistance matters
Role Requirements
- Relevant university degree
- Fluently spoken and written English
- High level of numerical accuracy
- Strong analytical skills
- Knowledge of multi-currency accounting systems
Desired Criteria
- Recognised qualification in accounting
- At least three years in an accounting position
- Experience in a multinational or multicultural environment
- Experience in a humanitarian or other not-for-profit organisation
- Knowledge of IFRC financial systems and software
- Good command of another IFRC official language
