Job Description
Support the Payments Unit in Bangkok by validating accounting source documents and correcting erroneous charges; reconciling suspense accounts; preparing financial statements and disbursements; guiding colleagues and supervising General Service staff; and resolving finance queries while maintaining accurate financial records and data for the United Nations Office at Geneva.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Scrutinize source documents for completeness, accuracy and validity of charges
- Investigate erroneous charges and take corrective accounting actions
- Reconcile suspense accounts and ensure clearance procedures
- Prepare worksheets and assist with financial statements
- Approve disbursements within authorized limits
- Provide guidance, training and supervision to General Service staff
Role Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least seven years of experience in accounting, finance or a related area
Desired Criteria
- At least two years using Umoja budget and finance modules
- At least two years in the United Nations Common System or similar intergovernmental organizations
