Support Mapping & Curating Projects for the MARG Green Buildings Repository

Support UNEP and IFC's MARG Green Buildings Project Repository by building a reliable initial data layer. This online UN Volunteer maps relevant projects, researches and verifies source information, applies agreed classifications and data-quality checks, and prepares a structured Google Sheets dataset that partners can use to expand and update the repository.

• Review the agreed MARG project-data structure and classification framework
• Develop or use a project-mapping and data-collection template in Google Sheets
• Identify relevant green-building projects from agreed public, institutional and partner sources
• Record project metadata, locations, characteristics, status and source links in the MARG dataset
• Cross-check project information and flag duplicate, incomplete or inconsistent entries
• Prepare the cleaned dataset for integration with the MARG Google Sites repository

• Strong desk research and online information-gathering skills
• Experience using Excel or Google Sheets
• Ability to collect, structure and organise information according to defined data fields
• Ability to assess information reliability and retain source references
• Good written and verbal English

• Familiarity with green buildings, sustainable construction, energy efficiency or the built environment
• Experience in project mapping, database creation, market research or data curation
