Job Description

Leads information-management support for SHAPE's logistics planning and resource-management functions. The officer coordinates enterprise processes for operational logistics, develops policy and planning guidance, advises NATO and national stakeholders, supports logistics information systems and capability projects, and helps align information-management work with NATO exercises, operations and the NATO 2030 agenda.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Coordinate enterprise processes for operational logistics planning and execution
  • Support development of operational requirements for logistics information systems
  • Monitor logistics information-management responsibilities across functional areas
  • Develop policy, tools and processes supporting logistics information systems
  • Coordinate ACO procedures and planning guidance for logistics information management
  • Advise NATO and national stakeholders on logistics information-management functions
  • Support training, exercises, boards and working groups
  • Support information-management work on NATO digital-transformation and capability projects

Role Requirements

  • University degree in library or information science, management information systems, computer science or a related discipline with two years' experience, or advanced vocational training with four years' experience
  • At least two years of enterprise logistics-project management experience
  • At least two years managing logistics policy and processes
  • At least two years of enterprise information-management project experience
  • At least two years managing information-management policy and processes
  • English listening, speaking, reading and writing proficiency at SLP 3333
  • Applicants must be nationals of a NATO member state
  • Appointment requires NATO security clearance and medical certification

Desired Criteria

  • Experience leading teams
  • Previous service at NATO
  • Knowledge of the NATO 2030 Initiative and Allied or ACO efforts
  • Knowledge of capability-delivery models, Military Budget and NATO Security Investment Programme mechanisms
  • Training in NATO logistics or logistics operational planning courses
