Job Description
The Education Project Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist will design and coordinate UNESCO monitoring for education projects in Central Africa. Based in Yaounde, the role manages digital data collection and quality, partner capacity building, knowledge sharing, performance reporting and evaluations, ensuring evidence-based project management, donor compliance and informed decision-making.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate annual planning and an integrated monitoring and evaluation system for education projects
- Strengthen implementing partners' monitoring, data-collection and reporting capacity
- Develop digital data-collection tools and supervise data collection, verification, cleaning and archiving
- Maintain a secure, accessible project database with quality, disaggregation and traceability
- Document and disseminate good practices, innovations and lessons learned
- Produce consolidated progress, performance and donor reports and decision-support dashboards
- Support baseline, mid-term and final evaluations and follow up evaluation recommendations
Role Requirements
- Master's degree in monitoring and evaluation, project management, information systems, education statistics, demography, education planning, computer science or a related field
- Four to seven years of education-project monitoring experience in multi-partner, internationally donor-funded contexts
- Experience with Open Data Kit, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO or similar data-collection platforms
- Expertise in education management information systems and digital tools such as QGIS and Power BI
- Fluency in French or English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with United Nations and or Global Partnership for Education
- Knowledge of education in Central Africa and Cameroon
- Experience in education-system planning and management
- Experience related to SDG 4 and Cameroon education strategies
