Job Description
Drives the Joint SDG Fund's resource-mobilization pipeline by turning strategic priorities into donor opportunities, persuasive funding materials and intelligence. The role stewards relations with Member States and institutional partners, coordinates fundraising and reporting processes, and equips senior leaders with analysis, proposals and engagement plans that advance joint SDG financing.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop donor intelligence, funding opportunities and resource-mobilization pipelines
- Prepare proposals, pitches, briefs and funding packages tailored to donors
- Coordinate donor stewardship, opportunity tracking, reporting schedules and follow-up actions
- Support senior engagement with Member States, Permanent Missions and institutional partners
- Analyze funding trends, risks and landscapes to inform multi-year mobilization plans
- Coordinate joint financing opportunities with Resident Coordinators and UN Country Teams
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in economics, business management, social sciences, political sciences or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible professional experience in resource mobilization in an international development context
- At least seven years supporting or leading resource mobilization for global or multi-country thematic, pooled or vertical funds with donor-relations experience
- Prior field-context experience on sustainable development
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another UN language is desirable
- Experience coordinating donor portfolios and fundraising pipelines is desirable
- Experience in UN inter-agency coordination and the UN development system is desirable
- Experience with international or bilateral donors is an asset
