Job Description

FAO Oman seeks a Partnership and Resource Mobilization Specialist to strengthen engagement with government, donors, development partners and the private sector. The role maps funding opportunities, maintains a partnership pipeline, develops concepts and proposals, prepares donor materials and coordinates follow-up that advances FAO's programme delivery and strategic partnerships in Oman.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement FAO Oman's partnership and resource-mobilization priorities
  • Map and monitor donors, development partners, government institutions and potential financial-resource sources
  • Identify funding and partnership opportunities and maintain a pipeline of follow-up actions
  • Prepare project ideas, concept notes, proposals, funding requests and donor briefs
  • Compile and analyse information on partnerships and innovative financing opportunities
  • Prepare meeting materials and coordinate donor and partner consultations

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international development, economics, business administration, international relations, agriculture, environmental sciences or a related field
  • Minimum of four years of relevant professional experience in partnership development, resource mobilization, donor relations, programme or project development and management, stakeholder engagement, or a related area
  • Working knowledge of English and Arabic
  • National of Oman or resident with a valid work permit

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in project or programme management and coordination in agriculture or development
  • Experience working with government institutions and national and international stakeholders
  • Experience developing and following up on projects, partnerships and resource-mobilization opportunities
