Responsibilities
- Manage project planning, coordination, performance and delivery across all components
- Oversee nature-based flood-resilience design and green-economy financing mechanisms
- Manage procurement, personnel, contractors and operational activities under UNDP procedures
- Control project finances, reports, audit readiness and co-financing mobilisation
- Track work plans, indicators, deviations and corrective action for adaptive management
- Maintain risk logs, environmental and social safeguards and the grievance mechanism
- Coordinate government, municipal, private-sector, donor and civil-society stakeholders
- Lead capacity building and develop knowledge platforms, lessons and advocacy products
Requirements
- Master's degree in environmental science, urban planning and design, climate or environmental resilience, social science, project management, geography, natural-resource management or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two additional years of experience
- At least five years with a master's degree or seven years with a bachelor's degree managing large-scale urban planning and programme projects
- Experience leading teams and managing donor relations
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-coordination capability
- Experience with UNDP and GEF procedures
- Proficiency in English
- Proficiency in Somali
