Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate delivery of the Mayors Challenge project in As-Salt
  • Align work plans with municipal priorities, donor requirements and UNDP objectives
  • Guide heritage-conservation planning and draft terms of reference for procurement
  • Supervise service providers, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Manage budgets, revisions, resources and financial compliance
  • Coordinate ministries, UNESCO, donors, civil society, communities and private-sector partners
  • Oversee restoration-centre training programmes and institutional capacity building
  • Produce progress reports, policy briefs and knowledge products for global exchange

Requirements

  • Master's degree in civil engineering, cultural heritage management, architecture, urban planning, public administration, historic preservation or a related field, or bachelor's degree with two years of relevant experience
  • With a bachelor's degree, at least two years of experience in heritage conservation and restoration of historic buildings or urban heritage sites
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in Arabic
