Overview

Provides field and administrative support to climate-resilient agricultural value chains in Colombia’s Córdoba department. The assistant helps train producer organizations, monitors grants and indicators, documents lessons, supports sustainable farming and adaptation measures, and maintains project records and communications.

Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of climate-resilient value-chain activities
  • Organize training, workshops, technical visits and producer meetings
  • Assist producer organizations with sustainable agricultural practices
  • Monitor small-grant agreements, project indicators and technical progress
  • Maintain files, inventories, correspondence and project communications
  • Prepare reports, lessons learned, technical guides and training materials

Requirements

  • Secondary education with four years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree with one year of relevant experience
  • Experience in rural-development projects and agricultural value chains
  • Experience providing technical assistance to small plantain producers
  • Microsoft Office, spreadsheet and database experience
  • Report-writing experience
  • Fluency in Spanish
