Provides technical coordination for the Dumisha Amani II project, advancing youth engagement, peacebuilding and inclusive development in Tanzania. The analyst aligns interventions with national policies, works with government and community partners, integrates gender-responsive approaches, and uses monitoring, evidence and knowledge products to improve peace and development outcomes.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop detailed Dumisha Amani II implementation plans aligned with national youth policies and project objectives
- Coordinate UNDP, government, civil-society and community partners across Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar
- Strengthen national and community mechanisms for conflict prevention, management and resolution
- Guide implementation and monitoring of the National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security and community peacebuilding action plans
- Support youth-centre development and integrate peacebuilding approaches into local development planning
- Integrate gender equality and meaningful engagement of young women and girls across interventions
- Develop monitoring tools, analyze data and produce reports, case studies and knowledge products
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in law, political science, international relations, development studies, social sciences or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in these fields with two additional years of qualifying experience may be considered
- At least two years of relevant professional experience in law, political science, international relations, development studies, social sciences or a related field with a master’s degree, or four years with a bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in English
- Fluency in Swahili

- Experience in programme or project management
- Experience networking with partners at all levels
- Experience in the peace and security sector
- Experience managing field cooperation activities or programmes in contexts at risk of violent extremism
- Experience with office software, web-based management systems, spreadsheets and databases
